The 17th Annual Schubert Chorale Summer Concert

 

The Schubert Chorale, 60 adult, college, and high school singers, will present "A Choral Celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States" for its 17th Annual Summer Concert Celebration in August 2026.

 

The chorale will begin with the National Anthem, “High Flight” by David Brunner, Andre Thomas’s “I Hear America Singing,” and American television themes from Laverne and Shirley, Three’s Company, The Brady Bunch, Green Acres, The Addams Family, Mister Ed, The Beverly Hillbillies, Bonanza, I Love Lucy, Happy Days, and The Carol Burnett Show. Other favorites will include “The Impossible Dream,” Disney’s “When You Wish Upon a Star,” folks songs “Shenandoah and “Down in the Valley,” and Irving Berlin’s “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor” and “God Bless America.” Multigenerational grade-school favorite “Fifty Nifty United States,” and patriotic gems “America, the Beautiful” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” will conclude the concert.
